Abstract: Current market trends require an increasing specialization of companies in the production of individual products, which is accompanied by increased cooperation in network value added flows. Improving the efficiency and production management efficiency is necessary to achieve the production logistics goals, including minimizing the delivery time to customers while increasing at the same time the complexity of value addition processes. This requires an enhanced flow of information between partners. This paper discusses a modern approach to the development of an integrated production planning and management system focused on network value added flow. This approach leads to global optimization of material flows at all stages of value addition in the network, as opposed to local intra-company production processes consideration. The approach includes the following steps: requirements analysis, network modeling, system architecture development, incentive system definition, planning and control optimization.

Abstract: The elements of lean manufacturing seem to have reached the limit of their capabilities in terms of reducing losses in production processes. The combination of widespread lean manufacturing methods with digitalization allows you to introduce its principles, methods and tools in a new way. The article highlights the initial situation and the need for a methodology that supports the assessment of existing lean production systems, as well as the selection of appropriate digitalization technologies. The main structure of this methodology and the content of its four elements are described. Two tasks are a universal description of production systems in the context of lean manufacturing and digitalization technology. Taking into account that lean methods are a static set of rules, it is necessary to take into account the dynamic development of digitalization technologies and on this basis realize the synergistic advantage of the two technologies.

Abstract: In the context of the accelerated technological development of the world economy, Russia’s real competitors are not only leading countries in the field of innovation, but also many developing countries. The economic development period of the leading countries at the next stage (sixth) of the technological structure, the technological revolution in resource saving and alternative energy sharply increase the ambiguity in the development of Russia, the basis of which specialization in world markets is the traditional energy carriers export. The alternative energy development, the emergence of cost-effective technologies for the hydrocarbons extraction from non-traditional sources (shale, oil sands, etc.) can lead to a decrease in demand and prices for key goods of Russian raw materials exports, a reduction in financial resources and, as a result, a decrease in Russia’s importance in geopolitics. The 2009 crisis reinforced the importance of this challenge for Russia. This is primarily due to the fact that investments in technological development, in an innovative breakthrough, are carried out by leading countries, as well as BRICS countries as a key anti-crisis measure. The article substantiates the importance of the country’s technological leadership developing as the basis for the country’s security.

Abstract: Canada is one of the world’s leading players in the development and production of aircraft, aviation and space systems and components. The article examines the structure and place of the aerospace industry in the Canadian economy. It is concluded that in recent years, Canada’s position has noticeably weakened in markets for regional and medium-haul aircraft. At the same time, there is a clear trend for growing role of foreign subsidiary companies in the Canadian aerospace industry. This is further evidence of increased international competition and growing monopolization in the aerospace industry.
